- On October 16th 1793 Marie Antoinette was beheaded.
- On October 15th 2009 a 6 year old boy was trapped in a hot air balloon, creating a viral story. His parents were later found guilty of making up the story.
- On August 19th 2004 Google went public.
- On August 18th 2011 Comedian Andy Samberg turns 33 years old. Also, actor Edward Norton turns 42.

- On March 17th 461 Saint Patrick died.
- On March 15th 44 BC Julius Caesar was assassinated.
- On March 13th 1781 William Herschel discovered the planet Uranus.
- On March 7th 1876 Alexander Graham Bell received a patent for the telephone. Also on March 7th 1926 the first trans-Atlantic phone call took place between New York and London.
- On March 6nd 1997 Queen Elizabeth II created the first official royal website.
- On February 25th 1836 Samuel Colt patented his revolver. Now known as the Colt Revolver.
- On January 15th 2001 Wikipedia was debuted. Also on this day in 2004 the NASA Spirit rover landed on the surface of Mars.
- On January 8th 1642 Galileo Galilei died in Florence, Italy.
- On January 7th 1789 the first presidential election was held.
- On January 3rd 1892 J.R.R Tolkien was born.
- On January 2nd 1920 Isaac Asimov was born.
- On December 31st 1879 Thomas Edison demonstrated the incandescent light for the first time.
- On December 29th 1845 Texas was admitted to the union as the 28th state.
- On December 25th 1990 the World Wide Web was introduced. Two Computer scientists: Tim Berners-Lee and Robert Cailliau created the first hyper-linked web page.
