- On February 25th 1836 Samuel Colt patented his revolver. Now known as the Colt Revolver.
- On January 15th 2001 Wikipedia was debuted. Also on this day in 2004 the NASA Spirit rover landed on the surface of Mars.

- On January 3rd 1892 J.R.R Tolkien was born.
