Space Radar hears Perseid meteor shower

The United States’ Air Force Space Surveillance Radar in Texas has apparently picked up the noise created from the Perseid meteors hitting the Earth’s upper sphere’s. To me, the noise closely resembles that of a sonar ping; however, to be put into words… pewhew would be the closet sound effect word to describe it. Listen for yourself below.
