Solar paper panel (say that ten times fast).

MIT researchers have discovered a way to make paper thin solar panels. In fact they are printed on a paper like material.

They are printed on an ink-jet printer, and have achieved 2% efficiency. Now that’s a tenth of the power that a real solar panel achieves, but it can be stapled onto the roof.

The awesome people at MIT are actually saying that these solar panels should be stapled to the roof.

Next up, solar panel roof tiles (aren’t those already out there).
