Office 2011 is out for the Mac

As some of you may know, Office 2008 for Mac sucks. It closes Word documents without saving, it kills your PowerPoint slides. It just doesn’t work well. What some of you may not know is that Office 2011 looks awesome. According to CNET Office 2011 trumps Office 2008 by a large amount.

There are numerous new features, like 3 dimensional object reordering. Which lets you take a image in the background and move it to the front. Which might be useful for something.

Microsoft also included a broadcast feature that lets you remotely stream your PowerPoint slides to any computer in the world.

Just like Mac OS 10.7 they added a full screen feature. Which lets you do pretty much everything you would normally do, just without the clutter.

The biggest feature is Outlook. If you’ve ever tried Entourage. You’ll know what I’m talking about. Entourage is most likely the worst email client in the world. It adds spammers to your address book. It deletes messages without saving them. The list goes on. Outlook on the other hand has been one of the most praised email clients. It has boatloads of features that will overwhelm the most experienced user.

I will be doing a full review later this year. Are you getting it? Tell us in the comments below.
