iPhone 4S woes

The glorious release of the iPhone 4S has come, and gone. However, many people (those who pre-ordered) have yet to receive their iPhone 4S. I pre-ordered my iPhone 4S on October 7th at about 5pm. The “expected” delivery date was October 14th; however, they said that it was possible that it would arrive earlier… or later. I subsequently ignored the latter part of that statement, and set-up camp in front of my door, waiting for the FedEx dude to arrive. I’m still waiting. I’m single-handedly bombarding AT&T’s order status page, in hope of finding that my iPhone 4S is no longer on back-order, but instead making its way to me. Alas, it is not. Instead, it is stuck in purgatory.

Words of wisdom (yes, I have wisdom): Do not pre-order! I realize at this time, that if I were to have waited in line at a local AT&T store, I would now be happily skipping along with an iPhone 4S.
