The iPad has been stuck with AT&T’s horrible network for the last 9 months, however as of October 20th it will deal with AT&T no more, unless of course you pick them as your carrier.
Apple announced today that they’ll be bringing the iPad to Verizon on October 28th 2010. This makes me think that the iPhone may be following suit at the same time (maybe that will be the “one more thing” on October 20th).
The Verizon network has a record of being more reliable, and faster then the AT&T network. This will come as very welcome addition to the Apple lineup.
On similar side-note the iPad is coming to AT&T stores on the same day.
Hopefully this will come with an updated version of the iPad with 129GB of storage, and 2GB of RAM. Who knows this “Back to the Mac” event could be a cover-up for the real event, which could be solely about the iPad, and iPhone. After all Steve Jobs did try to carry ninja-stars on a plane from Japan (I don’t know why that’s related. I just thought it was humorous).
What do you think? Do you think that we’ll see a dream iPad come to life or do you think it will just be an updated iPhone. Or do you think nothing but the release of the iPad on Verizon is going to happen? Tell us below with a comment or email me at admin@gizmoray.com.
