Apple has now released two minor updates to their iOS, this one fixes the PDF exploit. If you would are to remember a group of hackers exploited rather large bug that Apple missed. It was the PDF bug. It allowed hackers to download malicious software onto your phone without your knowledge.
I guess Apple didn’t like it that everyone was saying that jailbroken iDevices were more secure then non-jailbroken devices.
There is however a downside of this update. You can’t jailbreak. If you were thinking of jailbreaking… don’t update. If you jailbreak you can still download PDFs but you have to answer the pop-up first.
It’s your choice whether you want to upgrade or not. It’s either Apple’s fix or the jailbreaking community’s fix.
