Google has been a big supporter of green energy for quite some time.

Today they invested a whopping $39 million (38.8 to be exact) dollars in wind farms.

The two wind farms they invested in are in North Dakota. Both farms combined create 169.5 megawatts (which is enough that it could power the lights 55,000 houses).

Keep a look out for Google Energy, and Google Foods, and not to forget: Google Clothes.

All joking aside this is a great step in the right direction for Google.

However they are indeed creating Google Energy. So be on the lookout for both Google Fiber, and Google Energy at Google stores near you.

Not in North Dakota.
